I absolutely love Sweden. Most people speak English very well but like anywhere else really appreciate attempts at Swedish. Stockholm is amazing but if you can drag yourself away from Sodermalm and Gamla Stan make sure to check the southern region of Skane. The countryside and wild Baltic ocean are just gorgeous whatever the season, and you can take a trip to Ystad, home of Detective Kurt Wallander.

I love visiting Sweden both the east coast and the west coast in the more southern part of Sweden but hotels cost so much. I can't stay long enough to make the other costs worth it so am hoping to do some hostels next time.

At first the culture seems reserved, but most Swedes I have met are very articulate, well educated, multilingual and very friendly after you get to know them. I have quickly made many friends in my business travels and if you are respectful of the culture and people you probably will too.
